Advantages of Getting one Type of Mutual Fund

Below are some of what I think the advantages of getting just one type good mutual fund.

1. Your investment capital especially if yet small will not be diluted or divided, meaning, if the NAVPS of the mutual fund you subscribe in increases, your gain will be much more higher but of course the risk is that, if the NAVPS goes down the more also is your loss. That's why its imperative to study first the fund that you intend to invest in so that, you can confidently choose what type of mutual fund will fit your goal and risk appetite.

2. You don't need to "mamangka sa dalawa o tatlong ilog" which means in this case if you were to endorse or recommend mutual fund to your friends or someone you know, you probably will not endorse or recommend many different type of mutual funds other than the one you subscribe in. And, since you have done your homework before investing on the fund, you can sensible explain to your friend why its worth it to invest on the fund where you invest in. Should they too invest on that fund and focus on it, not only that they will not divide their capital investment, they will also help increase the asset of the fund thus, increase also the value of the NAVPS and of course if the NAVPS increases, your share value will also increase. So go ahead, encourage others to invest on the fund you invest in. Take note the NAVPS formula of a mutual fund is ((Asset-Liabilities)÷Outstanding Share).

3. Based on how I understand mutual fund, if you get more than one but the same type of mutual fund, in a sense you are not really diversifying. Like say for instance, if you subscribe to an equity funds at company "A" and equity fund also at company "B" and the same with company "C". If the equity market goes down, likely all of those mutual funds you subscribe in will also go down since they all invest in equity. Mutual funds no matter how many you subscribe in are all attached or is dependent on the equity market. Another is that, aside I guess from their investment strategy and fund managers, one of the reason why perhaps the same type of mutual fund is better than the other one is simply because, that mutual fund had already build a good performance reputation hence, more popular and therefore, many are interested to invest increasing the asset value more compare to the other mutual fund resulting to increase in NAVPS and, finally increase also on the share value.

4. If you invest in more than one MF and if you are working abroad and don't have the bank accounts on all the mutual funds you subscribe in, you will have to spend extra more on the remittance fee so as to add fund separately because to my knowledge, every mutual funds have different account number. To some, they may find this not convenient at all.

For myself I do subscribed to one mutual fund and also invest directly to stock market..

My 21st Century Question Regarding the Practice of Tithes Today

So, this is my 21st century question regarding tithes.

In the bible, Yes tithes belongs to God. In hebrews 7, our High Priest becomes Jesus Christ. He change the levitical priesthood to Himself, so by right levites even if they still exist, their priestly minister is no more in effect. Jesus is alive today and forever. Were you or did the bible give any instruction that what belongs to God can be collected and used by people who are subject to death? Because it's holy that first it was collected by Melchizedek (an immortal being, see Hebrews 7:2-3). Second, by levites (mortal being but was given the authority by God to collect and use it).Third, assumably by Jesus Christ the same as Melchizedek. I can't seem to find any instruction again or even a hint in the dispensation of grace that what belongs to Jesus can be collected by us mortal again.

The rightful Owner is alive and is present everywhere but, if you have the chapter and verse, please tell me?

Excluding Matthew 23:23 and any other verses where Jesus was still on earth because the bible say:

“If then He were still living on earth, He would not be a priest at all, for there are [already priests] who offer the gifts in accordance with the Law.”Hebrews 8:4 AMP

In analogy, Its like this, suppose in a company a new CEO is about to replace an existing CEO, the effectivity of his term as new CEO is next month. Does the CEO to be replace has still all the rights to be paid until the last day of his term? He does right, the incoming CEO cannot intervene or cut off his salary while the existing CEO is still in position right? Since we are talking about tithes not offering nor giving to which it is an inheritance of the levites in lay mans term a salary to them as a priest, the logic is the same. This is why God said, we ought to do important matters but don't also forget to do lesser matter like paying your obligation to the levites- the tithes.

For me, a man who collect the property of the owner who is not dead yet and did not give anyone permission to collect what belongs to him, that man might be accused of stealing.

The Heart is Deceitful above all Things

For most when I query who is the rightful receiver of tithe today. The most common answer is that, it does't matter who receive it as long as in their heart, they are giving it to God. With this response, I usually answer back and give this scenario;

Suppose you are to evangelise or share the truth to a person who firmly believe that through the statue of Mary, a prayer can be heard by God. You explain to him that this is not so as according to the bible, you laid to him all the scripture and all the sensible explanation and bible facts that what he believe is contrary to what the bible say. Yet, in spite of all the sensible and biblical fact you've shown, it does't matter to him because in his heart he believe that his prayer can only be heard through the statue of Mary.

Are you going to acknowledge that what he believe is biblically acceptable since he believe in his heart that through the statue of Mary, his prayer can be heard? If not, then that scenario also apply to tithing, even if someone say they believe it in their heart. The most that I can do is to respect it and not push it anymore but, I say, the heart of that someone has been deceived. That kind of belief, in fact whatever we believe in our heart is obviously not in born, we choose to place it there to the point that it became part of us and is really hard to remove however faced with an evidence undeniable proving that what the heart believe is in fact a lie. But, I pray that in God's perfect time, the truth will be revealed in that man's heart.

Are you a Children or Stranger in Christ?

We pay taxes on our government and businesses charge us for the services rendered, churches should also do the same in the form of tithing to support its own infrastructure. This is how tithing is being justified except that churches is not a government or a business nor it should be modelled as such, the closest structure that a church could relate to is a family. No father in a family will charge his own sons or daughter for taxes. Neither will sons/daughter who had shown love or was taught love will not voluntarily render help or support to their parents or any member of the family. Every believer of Christ is part of the family in Christ and, like the king on earth who does not charge taxes within his own family, our father in heaven also does not charge taxes in a form of tithing on His own children in Christ.

The Bible Said:

“He said, “Yes.” And when he had come into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth take customs or taxes, from their sons or from strangers?” Peter said to Him, “From strangers.” Jesus said to him, “Then the sons are free.” Matthew 17:25-26 NKJV

A thought to ponder!
